The Role
The Salesforce Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying solutions within the Salesforce platform. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem- solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high- quality solutions that meet business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and implement Salesforce solutions based on business requirements using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, and other Salesforce technologies.
* Customise and extend Salesforce functionality through configuration, custom development, and integration with third-party systems.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders along with the Salesforce Administrator to gather requirements, analyse user needs, and translate them into technical solutions.
* Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and workflows to support business processes.
* Perform unit testing, code reviews, and deployment activities to ensure the quality and stability of Salesforce applications.
* Provide technical guidance and collaborate with the Salesforce Administrator.
* Stay current with best practices to optimise platform usage and enhance system capabilities.
* Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to drive innovation and continuous improvement within the Salesforce ecosystem.
* Document technical designs, configurations, and development activities in accordance with organisational standards and guidelines.
* Document and plan transfer/training sessions with the Salesforce Administrator at the end of the contract.
* Any other additional duties as deemed necessary to support the business.
Candidate Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
* Salesforce.com certified Platform Developer I and/or Platform Developer II certification preferred.
* Extensive experience in Salesforce development, including hands-on experience with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce APIs.
* Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data model, security model, and best practices.
* Proficiency in Salesforce administration tasks such as user management, permission sets, profiles, roles, and sharing rules for project work.
* Experience with Salesforce integration tools and techniques, such as REST/SOAP APIs and Salesforce Connect.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
* Strong attention to detail and ensures accuracy in coding, testing, and documentation activities to deliver high-quality solutions.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) is a plus.
* Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other web development technologies is desirable.
* Knowledge of Salesforce Account Engagement desirable.
