Do you want to make a direct difference to the lives of children and young people with complex lives and multiple needs? Do you enjoy working in partnership, across agencies to achieve the best outcomes for young people and their families?

As a Therapeutic Practice Manager, you will play a crucial role in the development of our Newport MyST residential team. You will be leading and managing our Mental health and therapeutic practices to ensure the highest standards of care and support for children, young people, and families in Newport homes. You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of therapeutic interventions, managing a team of dedicated professionals, and ensuring that our services are responsive, effective, and tailored to the needs of those we support.

Our Newport community team is a well-established, experienced and high performing multi-disciplinary team, providing excellent mental health and therapeutic care to some of Newport's most vulnerable children and young people. The development of a residential MyST team follows on from the success of our model of in reach therapeutic care to our Caerphilly LA homes. You will also be a part of our Regional, Gwent wide MyST Program.


Responsibilities

* Lead and manage the team to deliver high-quality psychologically informed care and interventions.
* Develop and implement therapeutic strategies and plans that meet the needs of children, young people, and families.
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions and make improvements as needed.
* Provide supervision, guidance, and support to all team members.
* Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to ensure a holistic approach to care planning and support.


About You / Qualifications

You will have a background in and passion for therapeutic practice within residential care settings. You will be enthusiastic about making a positive impact and have excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills. You will be committed to continuous improvement and able to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

You will be able to provide leadership and management to a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring the application and maintenance of our clinical model, its service standards and its impacts for the young people and their networks. You will work in close partnerships with all stakeholders to achieve effective outcomes.
