About The Role
You will work closely with pre-construction, commercial, design, and operational teams, contributing to tenders from early enquiry stage through to final submission.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed cost estimates and tenders for construction projects
* Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
* Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations
* Attend tender review meetings and contribute to bid strategy
* Identify and assess commercial and contractual risks
* Maintain accurate records of estimate assumptions and exclusions
* Build and maintain strong relationships with supply chain partners
* Assist with handover of successful tenders to delivery teams
Essential Hiring Criteria
* Previous experience as an Estimator within the construction industry
* Strong understanding of construction methods, costs, and procurement
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Commercially astute with excellent attention to detail
* Confident communicator with internal teams and external stakeholders
* Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office applications
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tender deadlines
Desirable
* Experience in healthcare, refurbishment, and live-environment projects
* Background in main contracting or M&E estimating
* Relevant construction or commercial qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree)
