Key Responsibilities Lead the development and delivery of an exciting, high‑quality Art curriculum. Model outstanding teaching practice and support colleagues to improve pedagogy. Drive progress, engagement, and outcomes in Art across all key stages. Manage assessment, tracking, and interventions within the department. Organise exhibitions, enrichment activities, and creative projects to enhance the cultural life of the school. Maintain a safe, well‑resourced and inspiring Art environment. Contribute to wider school initiatives and collaborate with senior leaders. Ideal Candidate Profile Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and specialist training/degree in Art or a related discipline. A strong track record of successful Art teaching at KS3-KS4. Experience in leading, mentoring, or coordinating within a department (desirable but not essential). Creative, energetic, and passionate about developing young artists. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage resources and teams effectively.
