1:1 Tutor – Flexible School Hours (Coventry Area) Location: Coventry and surrounding areas Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (flexible within school hours) Contract: Part-time / Self-employed Pay: Competitive rates (dependent on experience) About the Role We are currently recruiting dedicated and passionate 1:1 Tutors to support pupils across the Coventry area, either within their home or in a school setting. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to work with pupils who require additional support, delivering personalised learning that helps them re-engage with education and build confidence. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, tailored 1:1 tuition sessions Support pupils in core subjects such as English and Maths Adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs, including SEN where appropriate Create a positive and structured learning environment Monitor progress and provide feedback after sessions Work collaboratively with parents, schools, and other professionals Requirements QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or a minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching the UK curriculum Experience working with children or young people Strong communication and organisational skills A patient, flexible, and empathetic approach Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) Desirable Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) Background in tutoring, alternative provision, or outreach work Behaviour management experience What We Offer Flexible working hours within the school day Meaningful 1:1 work with real impact Ongoing support and guidance Opportunities for consistent placements Apply Now If you are interested in this opportunity, please send your CV and a short summary of your experience All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
