Interim EHC CoordinatorWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Interim EHC Coordinator to join a busy SEND service on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with strong EHCP case management experience to support a high-performing local authority team.Contract DetailsRate: £280 per day (UMR)Contract Length: Until the end of July, with strong potential for extensionWorking Pattern: Hybrid working - 2 days per week in the office (Essex)Start: ASAPKey ResponsibilitiesManage a caseload of new EHC assessments and annual reviews for children and young people with SEND up to age 25Coordinate statutory EHCP processes in line with the Children and Families Act 2014 and SEND Code of PracticeDraft, amend and review EHCPs within statutory timescalesWork closely with education, health and social care professionals to deliver person-centred plansAttend annual reviews, co-production meetings and multi-agency meetings where requiredSupport effective phase transfers and placement consultationsResolve disputes and support mediation to avoid tribunal escalation where possibleMaintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with GDPR and operational standardsPromote Preparing for Adulthood outcomes and support positive education, employment and training pathwaysRequirementsPrevious experience working within a Local Authority SEND serviceStrong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice 2015 and Children and Families Act 2014Experience managing EHCP assessments and annual reviews independentlyAbility to manage complex casework and prioritise a busy caseloadConfident working with parents, schools, professionals and external agenciesExcellent written communication and report-writing skillsExperience supporting mediation and tribunal preparation is desirableWhy Choose Ackerman Pierce?Ackerman Pierce calls upon over 15 years' worth of experience in recruiting directly into the Social Work Sector.
