Children’s Social Work Manager – Assessment & Support – North

Location: Leominster (North Locality)
Hours: 37 hours
Salary: 11HC£51,356 - £55,915 plus market supplement of £5,000 per year (£56,356 - £60,915)

Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team of staff who work directly with children and families, ensuring robust short‑term quality assessments of need are completed on time.
* Allocate and prioritise workloads, develop the team, and drive effective and efficient service delivery.
* Prepare and manage the team plan to meet objectives and ensure performance targets are achieved.
* Oversee complex casework, report writing, and ensure the care of the child remains paramount.
* Co‑operate with partner agencies and support continuous improvement within the Assessment Team.
Qualifications
* Fully qualified (DipSW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years’ statutory social care experience.
* Strong skills in assessment, report writing, and complex case management.
* Experienced in leadership or supervisory roles – ideal for Senior Practitioner or Advanced Practitioner.
* Registered with Social Work England.
* Passionate about making a difference, analytical, collaborative, resilient, and confident in managing complex situations.
