Job overview
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to support the Oral Health Manager in delivering excellent oral health promotion services across Hull and York. Responsibilities include training healthcare professionals and care support staff, delivering supervised toothbrushing schemes, and participating in community events, occasionally during weekends. A part-time position is available.
Main duties of the job
* Deliver oral health promotion training aligned with national guidelines to various stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, educational staff, and care home workers.
* Support the delivery of supervised toothbrushing programmes within contracted areas, working flexibly as required.

Person specification
* Must hold a valid driving licence.
Qualifications
* NEBDN Dental Nursing certificate or equivalent.
* Registered with the General Dental Council as a Dental Care Professional.
* Additional post-registration qualification in Oral Health, fluoride varnish application, or Dental Radiography.
* Evidence of ongoing Oral Health Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
* Experience in oral health projects and database/spreadsheet recording systems.
* Good understanding of the NHS and its linkages with other agencies.
Employer certification / accreditation badges
You must hold appropriate UK professional registration. This role is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020, and a Disclosure check will be required.
