About the department We are looking for an Technical Support Engineer to join our team based in BYD UK Office, Hounslow, London area. The Technical Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical support to Aftersales Operations Team including building the best-in-class regional technical capability, standard and high efficiency technical operation. Your key responsibilities will be: Provide technical support to Aftersales Operations Team (AOT) for new offers when required by the AOT. Along with AOT, he/she may be involved directly in discussion and meetings with customers, including in person visits to answer their enquiries, understand their technical question, assess their needs, and suggest or promote alternative products or services; In coordination with R&D and Engineering., undertakes research, adapt established procedures, and develop new solutions to solve technical problems through case management technical meetings and follow-up on the status of outstanding cases; Support the team of Field Service technicians during their on-site activities; Define solutions and actions to solve customer’s technical claim and support the service teams in high complexity claim’s root cause analysis and troubleshooting; Coach less experienced COT engineers to help them respond to customer accurately and promptly. Your profile: Degree in HGV/PSV, Mechanical, Energy Engineering or similar; Two years of previous experience in similar position, preferably in the bus industry. Previous experience and knowledge of general electrical/mechanical principles are highly appreciated, as well as previous experience in R&D department in order to understand the technical problem and develop solution to solve it; Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential; Problem analysis and solving attitude; Time consciousness and right sense of urgency; Good communication and interpersonal skills; Open mind and flexibility in facing unexpected and/or challenging situations; Ability to report problems in a clear, documented and logical way; Self- control and discipline.
