PIPEFITTER EXAMINATION (CS2026-037)
Salary: $62.18 - $70.57 per hour.
Responsibilities
* Under supervision, install and repair steam lines and equipment, maintaining and repairing temperature‑controlling apparatus.
* Install and repair regulators, traps, meters, valves, heating systems, oiling systems, feed‑water heaters, tanks, boilers, pumps, stoker and condenser equipment.
* Replace piping, repack valves and pumps.
* Operate pipe‑cutting and threading machine; perform oxy‑acetylene and electric welding on iron and steel pipes.
* Perform other related tasks as required.
Minimum Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED.
* Pipefitter Completion of Apprenticeship Certificate.
* Five years of full‑time paid Journeyman (post‑apprenticeship) Pipefitter experience.
* Ability to lift and carry 75 lbs.; climb a 40′ ladder and work on scaffolding or swing stage for long periods.
* Ability to wear a respirator and pass a physical to meet respiratory requirements.
* Valid State of Ohio driver’s license.
