We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Engineer based in Bedford for one of our clients on a Full Time Permanent basis.
Summary Of The Principal Engineer Role
Salary: £75,000
Location: Bedford
Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday Thursday 8:15am – 4:45pm; Friday 8:15am – 1:45pm
Responsibilities of the Principal Engineer
* Lead R&D initiatives and root cause analysis
* Enhance project toll gates
* Translate customer technical requirements and specifications
* Implement product standardisation strategy aligned with sales
* Provide technical support and leadership
* Quotation and selection processes for motors and pumps ensuring compliance with application
* Influence specification development
* ATEX competency lead in collaboration with Engineering Manager
Requirements For a Successful Principal Engineer
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
* Experience of mechanical engineering design and analysis
* Experience of water industry markets
* Comprehensive understanding of mechanical engineering principles
* Knowledge in pump engineering
* Able to interpret drawings and technical specifications
