Corporate Tax Trainee (ACA/CTA) - Peterborough - September 2026

Overview
Our training contract takes three and a half years to complete, supporting trainees through full access to first-class tuition centres. AAT Level 4 qualification grants exemptions, otherwise all trainees complete the full ACA/CTA. You will work in a fast‑paced environment on corporation tax compliance, preparing tax returns, computations, advising on payment dates and administrative matters. Once qualified you will assist on tax advisory projects – structuring acquisitions, disposals, transaction support and due diligence – and handle complex tax areas such as capital allowances, R&D tax relief, transfer pricing, and international tax.

Responsibilities and Development
* Support the tax compliance process, including tax accounting and learning how tax returns are prepared and submitted.
* Assist with technical research and respond to client queries and internal team questions.
* Gain insight into complex tax areas such as capital allowances, R&D tax relief, transfer pricing and international tax.
* Assist in stand‑alone tax advisory projects, including structuring acquisitions and disposals, transaction support and due diligence.
Qualifications
* 2:1 undergraduate degree (expected or obtained) in any discipline.
* Minimum of 120 UCAS points from top 3 A Levels (or equivalent), excluding General Studies and AS Levels.
* Minimum 6 (or B) in GCSE Maths and English Language (or equivalent).
