We're excited to support our well-established social housing client to recruit experienced Ie Recovery Officers to join their team on a minimum 6-month contract, with the potential to extend. This is a hybrid role, working 2 days from the office.
If you've worked in Ie Recovery/Maximisation and have a strong understanding of rent recovery processes, housing legislation and best practice, this could be a great opportunity. Experience using QL is advantageous.
Your new role
1. Manage your own caseload of customer accounts to maximise ie and minimise arrears
2. Liaise with customers via telephone, email or face to face to discuss support and bring accounts back up to date
3. Implement early interventions andplete affordability & expenditure assessments to agree affordable repayment plans
4. Prepare pre-court documentation and initiate legal proceedings where enforcement is warranted
5. Liaise with internal teams and external partners to ensure a joined-up approach to ie recovery and tenancy sustainment
6. Ensure accurate and up-to-date customer case notes on the housing management system
What you'll need to succeed
7. Experience in an ie recovery/maximisation role within social housing, and a good understanding of relevant legislation and best practice
8. Experience ofpleting ie & expenditure forms and the ability to offer basic welfare and housing benefit advice
9. Good IT skills, ideally having used the QL housing management system
10. Confident lone worker who can work to own initiative butmunicate effectively with a wider team
