Specification Business Development Manager – South UK
ASR International is pleased to be partnering with a premium manufacturer in the contract interiors space to recruit a Specification Business Development Manager to cover London and the South of England. This is a key commercial role designed to accelerate growth through architect and design (A&D) specification channels.

With a strong international presence and growing UK footprint, the business delivers high-performance fabric solutions across hospitality, healthcare, education, and commercial sectors.
Now entering a phase of targeted growth, the business is investing in its specification strategy to increase market share and enhance visibility with key A&D influencers, procurement groups, and project stakeholders.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a consultative, self-motivated specification sales professional to lead A&D engagement and drive project-based sales across the South of the UK. You'll play a central role in executing the UK specification strategy, supporting key account development and building lasting commercial relationships with specifiers, designers, and procurement consultants.
This is a hands-on, field-based role ideal for someone who enjoys solution selling, client interaction, and influencing the commercial direction of a fast-evolving business.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, manage, and grow project specifications via architects, interior designers, and specifiers across the South (including London and the M4 corridor).
* Execute a structured specification sales plan in line with the broader UK strategy.
* Deliver CPD events, presentations, and “meet the buyer” sessions to position the brand with A&D professionals.
* Manage sample libraries, literature, and product placement to maintain visibility with target accounts.
* Feed market insights, specification trends, and customer needs into product development and marketing teams.
* Maintain up-to-date CRM records, manage the sales pipeline, and progress projects from brief through to order.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments including sales, design, marketing, and customer service.
Required Experience & Industry Knowledge
* Proven track record in specification sales, ideally within soft furnishings, interior materials, textiles, or wider contract interiors.
* Strong network within the London A&D community and a deep understanding of the project sales cycle.
* Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills and ability to close complex deals.
* Experience engaging with procurement, purchasing bodies, or specification-led buying groups.
* Confident in managing sample requests, literature, and collateral to drive brand awareness.
