Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time), 40 hours per week
Shift patterns: Monday to Friday (includes working UK bank holidays). Monday: 07:00-16:45, Tuesday to Thursday: 08:00-16:45, Friday 08:00-14:45
Location: HMP Wayland, Norfolk, IP25 6RL
Security Please note: The role is based within a category C prison. Enhanced security vetting is required if selected for the position.
Pay Rate: £27,501.32
What you’ll be doing
Role context: The role involves operating within a prison warehouse environment, managing order picking, packing and distribution of inmate orders, and maintaining compliance with prison rules and regulations.
* Leading on the prison wing, distributing orders accurately and on time to each inmate.
* Loading and unloading vehicles when orders arrive at the prison.
* Complying with prison rules and regulations.

* Are comfortable working in a secure prison environment, giving oversight and direction to inmates.
* Can demonstrate strong integrity, judgement and fairness, especially when making decisions that support safety.
* Can manage challenging situations with a calm mindset.
* Good at communicating firmly, fairly and clearly.
* Have a good understanding of warehouse processes – but we will teach you the whole job.
Essential Criteria
* You must have three recent years of UK address history (mandatory for enhanced security clearance).
* You must have your own or dependable transport for the shift times as the site is remote.
* You must have right to work in the UK with no limits now or in the future. Sponsorship is not available for this opportunity.
