Senior Engineer - Ground Investigation

We are supporting a leading geotechnical and ground investigation business in the appointment of a Senior Engineer. This role involves leading ground investigation projects, providing technical expertise, and supporting the development of junior engineers.
The Role
* Lead and manage ground investigation projects from start to completion.
* Provide technical guidance, training and mentorship to engineering staff.
* Ensure quality assurance across all site works, data collection and reporting.
* Support Health & Safety documentation including risk assessments and method statements.
* Collect and interpret geological and geotechnical data.
* Produce factual, GIR and interpretative reports to high standards.
* Assist with project scheduling, tender preparation and client communication.
About You
Knowledge:
* Ground investigation techniques, soil mechanics, geology.
* Industry specifications, standards and contract documents (ICC GI, NEC3/4).
* CDM 2015 Regulations.
Skills:
* Strong communication, organisation and leadership abilities.
* Confident decision-maker with excellent client management skills.
* High attention to quality and accuracy in reporting.
Experience:
* Background in the ground investigation industry.
* Experience running projects and managing stakeholders.
* Strong report writing skills (factual, GIR, interpretative).
Qualifications:
* Degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline.
