Full-Time KS2 Teaching Assistant – Mainstream Primary (Provision Support)

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient KS2 Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a specialist provision within a mainstream primary school. This is a full-time role starting immediately and continuing through to September 2026, offering consistency and the opportunity to make a lasting impact.
About the Role
You will be working within a KS2 provision unit, supporting pupils with additional needs, including low-level behavioural challenges, social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, or learning difficulties.
Your role will involve:
* Providing 1:1 and small group support
* Supporting pupils in accessing the curriculum in a structured and nurturing environment
* Managing and de-escalating low-level behavioural situations
* Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual support strategies
* Encouraging engagement, independence, and positive learning behaviours
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
* Has experience working with KS2 pupils
* Is confident supporting children with additional needs or behavioural challenges
* Demonstrates patience, resilience, and strong communication skills
* Is able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
* Has a proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning
Previous experience in a provision, SEN setting, or behaviour support role is highly desirable, but not essential for the right candidate.
