Key Responsibilities as a TA
1. Work alongside the class teacher to support teaching and learning for Year 1 pupils, both in whole-class sessions and small groups or one-to-one as required.
2. Assist with preparing classroom materials, resources and learning areas, and support classroom management to maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment.
3. Monitor and record pupil progress and behaviour; provide feedback to teachers and support pupil social and emotional development.
4. Support children in developing reading, writing, numeracy and other foundational skills, adapting activities to meet individual needs.
5. Help supervise pupils during non-class times, including break and lunch times, and contribute to a safe and supportive school environment.
