Are you an experienced District Nurse with a Practice Assessor qualification looking for a new challenge in North Lincs?
As an experienced District Nurse with a Level 7 Practice Educator qualification, you will be delivering advanced, high-quality clinical interventions to your patients while supporting the education and training of the future District Nursing workforce. The Community Practice Assessor plays a pivotal role in teaching, facilitating learning, and assessing District Nursing students and staff within the District Nursing Service. This ensures they possess the right knowledge and skills to be safe and fit for practice, providing assurance that the workforce will deliver high-quality care to meet the needs of the population, including patients with continuing healthcare needs, health coaching, and well-being.
The Practice Assessor will conduct evidence-based assessments of students in line with the HEI curriculum and NMC standards, providing constructive feedback and working alongside the academic assessor.
The post holder will demonstrate skills across all four pillars of practice at their level, including clinical and teaching responsibilities. They will act as role models in leadership and quality improvement. Working with multiple partners within and outside the organization, the post holder will promote, support, and develop the community nursing workforce, including specialist community clinicians, in line with NMC requirements and standards for the Specialist Practice Qualification.

This role offers an opportunity to advance the expanding role of community nursing within the multidisciplinary integrated team, addressing long-term conditions and end-of-life care, and working closely with GPs. The candidate must have an understanding of and commitment to the ongoing development and modernization of community nursing, with effective communication and negotiation skills.
