The Product Manager will oversee the product lifecycle management of Saab Seaeye’s latest electric work class vehicle - eWROV. Responsibilities include gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product roadmap and vision, and collaborating with engineering, sales, BD, marketing, the PMO, and product support to meet revenue, profit, and customer satisfaction goals. The role ensures the product aligns with the company’s overall strategy and objectives.
Key accountabilities and responsibilities:
1. Research customer opinions, future requirements, and industry trends through direct engagement and collaboration with sales and business development teams.
2. Define and develop the eWROV product roadmap, ensuring alignment with the technology roadmap.
3. Establish high-level requirements for the product and supporting equipment, working with supply chain and engineering teams.
4. Communicate the business value of the product family to the organization.
5. Present development plans, budgets, timelines, and resource requirements to executives and stakeholders.
6. Prioritize developments based on ROI, budgets, resources, timelines, and customer priorities, ensuring alignment with the roadmap.
7. Participate in and execute the Product Lifecycle Management (PLCM) process.
8. Create product and capability plans.
9. Support customer solutions during the sales process, ensuring requirements are documented and technical solutions are proposed.
10. Ensure consistency and appropriateness of quotations, BOMs, training materials, manuals, and sales materials for standard and custom configurations.
11. Assess demands for non-standard ROV or product configurations based on value, risk, complexity, strategic importance, and the roadmap.
12. Assist engineering and the PMO in estimating development lead times for new business.
13. Collaborate with the Configuration Management Engineer to create BOMs and configuration diagrams, owning standard configurations and variations.
14. Approve Factory Acceptance Tests from a quality perspective.
15. Work with Product Support to incorporate customer feedback into product improvements and support issues.
16. Manage obsolescence issues.
17. Monitor industry trends and competitor activities.
18. Travel internationally to customer sites, trade shows, and conferences to gather market input.

5. Wear and maintain PPE and workwear, reporting replacements as needed.
Skills / Knowledge required
* Experience managing complex, high-value products.
* Strong engineering background, preferably in electrical and electronics.
* Systems engineering and design experience desirable.
* Experience interfacing with customers and stakeholders.
* Ability to influence cross-functional teams.
* Experience drafting product requirement documents.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Experience in the ROV sector or related fields is desirable.
