Job summary
The role of Senior Clinical Educator (SCE) is an important role within EMAS Education and contributes to the delivery of taught programmes, aswell as supporting divisional practice development and annual educational updates. Alongside the formal teaching requirements there is a busyteam of educators to lead, support and manage as part of the role. The Senior Clinical Educator will work in an educational leadership team and may be responsible for any aspect related to Education Management, Quality and Compliance and Education Development.
The Senior Clinical Educator is accountable to the Deputy Head of Education for the delivery of the service by providing leadership, expert knowledge, skill and direction in the design, implementation and evaluation of education

Main duties of the job
You will need to be confident to lead a team of clinical educators and manage education provision which will include contributing to the teaching and assessing across the education centres. The successful applicant will be supported by a team of peers and the Deputy Head of Education alongside the Head of is extremely important that as a SCE that you build close relationships the divisional management teams to ensure that learners are supportedboth within and outside of the education centres by both the education and operational management teams. You will also need to supportdivisions/directorates with educational development and practice development, as part of this role. You must therefore be able to practice clinically to provide an operational response in accordance with your clinical registration where to recent developments within education, you must be confident to deliver blended learning and utilise online systems (for example MSTeams/virtual learning environments) to deliver taught content/sessions. You must also commit to your own continuing professional development.
