In May 2023 OFSTED graded St. Julie's as Good with Outstanding features, with the same judgement reached by the Catholic Schools' Inspectorate in February 2024.

St Julie's Catholic High School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment to keeping children safe. Any offer of employment will be subject to statutory pre-employment checks including satisfactory references and Enhanced DBS and Barred List checks, as the post involves regulated activity with children.

The post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (as amended in 2013 & 2020) and shortlisted candidates will be required to disclose any relevant criminal history prior to interview. An online search will also be completed for shortlisted candidates prior to interview.

We are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Geography to join the large and vibrant Humanities department. You will be passionate about your subject, whilst transferring your knowledge in a creative and contextualised way in the classroom and successfully plan and deliver consistently good lessons on a daily basis that both challenge our students and significantly advance their learning. You will be relentless in your pursuit of progress for each and every one of your students so they can achieve the outcomes they deserve and grow into young adults that positively contribute to their community. You will instil pride in the work they do and encourage their individuality and personal qualities. Whether you are at the start of your career or an expert teacher we focus on what attributes you will bring to the school and most importantly what impact you will have on our students.

As a Catholic School, we wish to appoint someone who shares our moral purpose of ensuring all our young people receive the best education possible, in a supportive environment, from staff who care about them. You will be resilient, dynamic and passionate about tackling disadvantage and improving students' life chances. In return, you will find working at St Julie's incredibly rewarding due to our vibrant and talented students, who have a real thirst for learning, and engage in the various opportunities offered to them.
