The post holder will work with the Nurse Consultant/Lead Nurse Skin Integrity to provide a specialist Skin Integrity service, meeting the needs of patients throughout the Trust, ensuring the maintenance and development of clinical excellence.
The post also includes responsibility for providing expert knowledge and specialist advice to a wide range of professional staff and meeting the educational needs of staff involved in the management of skin integrity.
The post holder will ensure that a high level of skin integrity is achieved and maintained by informing and utilising the Trust's policies, strategies, audit processes, education and research agenda. Support the Nurse Consultant/Lead Nurse in the management of the Skin Integrity Team. Deputise for the Nurse Consultant/Lead Nurse during periods of leave. Aspects of the role will include Clinical duties, developing and providing educational initiatives, providing day-to-day leadership and management to the team, and undertaking and implementing research/QII.
