Business StrategyThe OpportunityThis is an excellent opportunity for a graduate who wants to build a career at the intersection of land, planning and renewable energy.You will play a key role in identifying and assessing potential sites, supporting landowner engagement, and helping to build the commercial and planning case for new projects. Working in a small, entrepreneurial team, you will gain exposure to the full development lifecycle and have the chance to take on responsibility early.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentifying LPU’s to target and qualifying leadsAnalysing land using the client’s in-house methodology, with a focus on planning policy, grid and land-use constraintsSupporting landowner engagement, including liaison with external agents, surveyors and legal representativesMaintaining the CRM with accurate and relevant data on sites, stakeholders and deal progressUnderstanding and operating the financial model used to assess land opportunities and project returnsCollaborating and aligning with the Commercial Team on site prioritisation and origination strategyAssisting in the conduct of market analysis to support senior management decision-makingSupporting the business through ad hoc tasks typical of a high-growth start-up environmentSkills and Experience RequiredDegree educated (RICS-accredited degree in Renewable Energy, Real Estate, Planning or a related discipline preferred; Masters/PhD advantageous)Knowledge of the UK planning system and an interest in land and property developmentAbility to think strategically while being comfortable working with detail and structured analysisDemonstrable ambition to join a fast-growing company and work in a small, close-knit teamExcellent negotiation, communication and relationship-building skillsA genuine interest in renewable energy, sustainability and the energy transitionWhat’s on OfferThe opportunity to join a high-growth renewable energy developer at an exciting stageEarly responsibility and broad exposure across land, planning, commercial and financeClose collaboration with senior stakeholders in a lean, entrepreneurial environmentHybrid working from a London baseClear scope for progression as the portfolio and team continue to growHow to ApplyThis position is aimed at 2024/2025 graduates.
