Purpose of the Role:
To provide support to Financial Advisers and Paraplanner Manager by assisting in the preparation of client reports, research, and administrative duties, while increasing the knowledge and experience required to progress towards a Senior Paraplanner role.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Support & Documentation
* Preparing suitability reports and recommendation letters
* Update and maintain client records in CRM and back-office systems
Research & Analysis
* Conduct product and fund research using approved tools and platforms
* Compare financial products such as pensions, investments, and protection plans
* Cash flow modelling and scenario planning
Administrative Duties
* Liaise with product providers to obtain plan information and policy details
* Support administrators and advisers with pre and post meeting documentation
Ensure compliance with internal and FCA standards in documentation
Professional Development
* Maintain knowledge and keep up to date with changes in legislation and St. James's Place guidance
* Attend internal training sessions, team meetings, and mentoring sessions
* Maintain CPD (Continuing Professional Development) records

Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
* CII Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent)
* Interest in financial services and financial planning
* Previous experience in a financial service environment
Career Progression:
This Paraplanner role offers a pathway into a Senior Paraplanner position. With successful completion of relevant qualifications and on-the-job training, candidates can expect to progress within 12–24 months, depending on performance and firm requirements
