Responsibilities
* Follow company policies on quality, health, safety, and all other policies.
* Create conceptual and pre-production CAD designs for LV, HV harnesses, and modules.
* Design brackets and fixing schemes to support EE modules and harnesses.
* Liaise with CAD harness suppliers for both LV and HV harnesses.
* Lead in correct module placement into vehicles, ensuring IP, vibration, and technical specifications are met.
* Collaborate with other engineering functions (chassis, body, interior, etc.).
* Lead technical reviews of product designs, requirements, and specifications with internal and supplier teams.
* Participate in resolving design and manufacturing issues.
* Investigate packaging issues and develop solutions related to EDS.
* Manage project-level EDS CAD engineering change control activities.
* Create 2D manufacturing drawings from 3D models and designs.
* Manage electrical BOMs.
* Support idea generation and problem resolution through daily work and structured design reviews.
* Work with Manufacturing to develop feasible manufacturing solutions and control engineering change processes.
* Develop test and validation procedures and specifications.
* Manage documentation as part of change management for existing systems.
* Complete design verification and function sign-off in line with project deadlines.
Minimum Requirements
* BSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with proven experience.
* Extensive experience designing and packaging EDS wiring harnesses using Catia V5.
* At least 3 years of professional experience in electrical systems development within an automotive setting or with an OEM or Tier 1 supplier.
* Support 3D Catia design efforts for electrical and engineering teams.
* Holistic understanding of vehicle systems.
* Ability to follow technical and administrative procedures.
* Understanding of engineering change requests and claim management.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Willingness to learn, support others, and adapt to challenges and changes.
* Must have full rights to work in the UK (IDLR); sponsorship or work permits are not accepted.
* Experience with electrical design tools such as Arcadia or VeSys.
* Knowledge of GPDS, DVP, FMEA, and APQP.
* Experience with equipotential bonding and material conductivity.
