We offer a unique opportunity for an Apprentice Mechanical Fire Pump Engineer to earn while you learn. You will learn to install, service, test, and repair fire suppression pump systems following relevant standards.
Responsibilities include:
1. Servicing, testing, and installing Fire Suppression systems and pumps; disassembling and reassembling equipment.
2. Performing installation, servicing, testing, and repairs according to standards.
3. Installing systems based on fabrication drawings and specifications.
4. Completing engineering reports, handover, and pressure test certificates accurately.
5. Undertaking additional duties as assigned by your line manager.
Location: Units 7-8 Mercury House, Calleva Park, Reading, Berkshire. The role primarily covers the South East of the UK, with potential support in the South West and Midlands, including travel and overnight stays.
Training:
Enrolment in a Level 3 Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician course delivered by Train'd Up, with on-the-job training and mentorship.
Minimum Qualifications:
* GCSE English (Grade 5) and Maths (Grade 5)
* Full driving license
