Division of Health Research, Lancaster University – Spectrum Centre for Mental Health Research (MHRG). Location: Bailrigg, Lancaster, UK. Salary: £26,707 to £30,378 on a fixed‑term, full‑time basis. Closing date: Monday 13 April 2026. Reference: 0234-26.
Role Overview
The Administrator supports the Project Manager and programme leads in managing the new Mental Health Research Group (MHRG). Responsibilities include scheduling and servicing meetings, coordinating travel arrangements, processing expense claims, and supporting the production of project reports. The role involves liaison with colleagues at Lancaster University and partner universities, NHS Trusts, and third‑sector organisations.
Responsibilities
* Schedule and service meetings for the MHRG team.
* Coordinate travel arrangements for team members.
* Process expense claims and support financial reporting.
* Assist in the production of project reports.
* Maintain effective communication and liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
* Support the organisation of events and assist with web and social media marketing activities (advantageous, not essential).
Qualifications & Skills
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Good IT and organisational skills with ability to manage own time and workload with minimal supervision.
* Experience in organising events and/or assisting with web and social media marketing activities is an advantage.
* Ability to liaise with a diverse range of partners across universities, NHS and third‑sector organisations.
Working Conditions
Post based in the Spectrum Centre for Mental Health Research on the Health Innovation campus. May involve occasional travel within the UK. Flexible working arrangements including condensed hours, days/hours worked and flexible start and finish times may be considered.
