Leaving Care
Are you passionate about supporting young people as they transition to independent living? We are seeking a dedicated Leaving Care Personal Advisor to provide guidance, practical support, and advocacy to care-experienced individuals aged 18 and over.
Location: WakefieldHours: 37 per week
Job Type: Temp
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a caseload of young people leaving care
* Support and review individual Pathway Plans and Risk Assessments
* Assist with housing, budgeting, benefits, and life skills
* Work collaboratively with partner agencies and support services
* Provide consistent emotional and practical support, especially during crises
Requirements:
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
* Experience working with vulnerable young people
* Knowledge of safeguarding practices and relevant legislation
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
* Driving licence preferred due to the mobile nature of the role
