PETA Ltd are looking to source exceptional Trainee Foundry Engineering Apprentices for our client, Finecast Foundry Ltd based in Littlehampton. This role involves working in an engineering team learning a wide range of foundry processes and developing your knowledge of casting technologies in a workshop environment. Training to be provided: As a Trainee Foundry Engineering Apprentice, you will be studying a Level 2 Engineering Operative Apprenticeship. Throughout your apprenticeship with Finecast, you will be supported by your company mentor and your PETA Learning and Development Coach. Your apprenticeship programme includes working towards a Level 2 Diploma and Level 2 Certificate in Engineering Operations. Overall duration 15 months. Your main responsibilities on the job will be: Comprehensive training in the full metal casting and foundry science processes Rotate through core making, moulding, rapid prototype additive manufacturing melting, materials laboratory fettling and Non Destructive Testing Departments Gain hands-on experience with advanced foundry technologies Learn the science behind metallurgy, heat treatment, and quality control Develop skills in reading technical data, working to precise specifications, and maintaining safety standards Work across Finecast’s production departments on high performance automotive, motorsport vehicle projects, and critical high integrity aerospace and defence programmes What are the career prospects at Finecast?
