Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing project costs, ensuring that financial aspects of construction projects are effectively controlled and monitored. Responsibilities
* Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and overheads.
* Monitor project expenditures and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
* Conduct regular cost analysis and reporting to identify variances and implement corrective actions as necessary.
* Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project specifications are met within budget.
* Review contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with legal and financial obligations.
* Provide advice on procurement strategies and assist in the selection of suppliers and subcontractors.
* Conduct site visits to assess progress and verify that work is being completed according to specifications.
* Maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions related to projects.
Skills
* Strong analytical skills with a focus on cost control and financial management.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with clients and team members.
* Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Attention to detail with strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
