A unique opportunity to work as an Associate Product Manager for an established electronics company on a hybrid basis. You should be within commuting distance of the Hertfordshire office. The role offers a salary of up to £30k - £35k DOE, plus a 10% bonus, 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, increasing with length of service.
Ideal candidates will have a background in buying, product support, category assistance, or as an associate product manager. You should be a confident communicator, capable of delivering clear presentations, with a passion for products and an affinity for technology. Your role will involve providing market, product, competitor, and consumer insights across the EMEA markets. Data analysis skills and a keen eye for detail are essential. While this is a hybrid role primarily working from home, training will require attending the office 2-3 days a week.
Occasional travel within the UK or abroad to attend trade shows is expected. A full UK driving license and preferably your own vehicle are essential, with all travel expenses reimbursed.
The main duties include:
1. Transforming product value propositions into compelling pitches supported by technology trends and channel guidance from the Product Manager to enable sales success.
2. Conducting competitor reviews and research to benchmark products in terms of price, creative execution, and product portfolio breadth.
3. Performing market analysis and assisting in forecasting technology trends.
4. Managing the product lifecycle process.
5. Maintaining product management master files, including catalogues and presentations, and updating tools like Monday.com, Workfront, and Agile.
6. Supporting new product introduction (NPI) launches by creating forecast documents and reviewing inputs with the Product Manager and Demand Planner.
7. Collaborating with marketing and the product manager to develop campaign briefs, proofread packaging and marketing materials, ensuring key product and technology points are highlighted.
8. Testing development samples and distributing final samples to sales regions; supporting product demonstrations for training if needed.
9. Providing technical product information to support sales customer setups.
10. Preparing strategic presentations for business units, trade shows, customer meetings, and reviews.
Required skills and experience:
1. Previous experience in a product management or product marketing role.
2. Enthusiastic, proactive, resilient in navigating a matrix organization with multiple cross-functional stakeholders.
3. Strong business acumen and understanding of business drivers.
4. Ability to write and deliver clear presentations confidently.
5. Experience in data analysis.
6. Exceptional communication skills and relationship-building abilities.
7. Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
