Description:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Locum Liaison Consultant to work with an NHS Trust in London. This full-time locum position is based in an inpatient setting where you will be working with General and Older adult patients, with proposed working hours of Monday – Tuesday, 16 hours a week.
Responsibilities
* To provide clinical leadership alongside a colleague consultant psychiatrist
* To attend and provide oversight to handover meetings where the tasks of the day will be decided and work allocated
* To contribute to the assessments of both general adults and older adults when required, including assessment, diagnosis and formulation of patients
* To provide consultation and support to patients with complex needs or support to MDT in decision making
* To provide cross cover with other medical colleagues for annual leave when required
* To maintain excellent records on BEH system and at general hospital
* To ensure that junior doctors working with them are compliant with the Working Time Directive and supported informally and formally
Contract Details
The role is set to begin ASAP and will last for a 3 month initial contract with option to extend. Hourly rate is £115 – £125. Please note that this position is inside IR35 payment guidelines.
