Our client is one of the largest automotive groups with the UK and internationally, with over 70 sites within the UK automotive market covering a variety of brands.
They are currently seeking a Motorcycle Technician for their successful Motorbike Service Department based in the Brighton & Hove area. They recognise that a successful business is built around the quality and contentment of its staff. They have a state-of-the-art workshop which has benefited from recent development.

Duties of a Motorcycle Technician with our Client:
14. To facilitate the repair and diagnosis of Motorcycle faults of both franchised manufacturer Motorbikes
15. Road tests
16. Bulb inspection
17. Throttle inspection
18. Clutch inspection
19. Chain and sprockets inspection
20. Tyre inspection
21. Wheel bearings inspection
22. Battery inspection
23. Brake pads/callipers/discs inspection
24. Suspension inspection
25. Exhaust inspection
26. Control cable inspection
27. Steering head bearings strip, clean and grease
28. Rear suspension linkage strip, clean and grease
29. Oil and filter change
30. Coolant replacement
31. Brake and clutch fluid replacement
32. Air filter replacement
33. Spark plug replacement
34. Valve clearance check
35. Carburettor or throttle body balance adjustment
36. Detailed fault history check, clear and reset
37. Fork oil replacement
38. Ensure that any bikes are repaired and serviced in a timely manner.
39. Develop and upkeep a high level of technical competence
40. Liaise with the Service Advisor’s and Service Manager regarding any issues
41. Provide a knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient service to all workshop customers
What our client expects of their Motorcycle Technician:
42. Full Motorcycle Driving Licence
43. NVQ / IMI Level 3 Qualifications or equivalent, Level 2 may be considered dependent on experience – preferably in Motorcycle and Maintenance Repair
44. Previous experience working within Motorcycles is preferable
45. Excellent Communications skills
46. Be able to work both independently and as a team
47. Can adhere to a specific working process
48. Be willing to develop and expand on your mechanical knowledge
This Motorcycle Technician vacancy is based in Welwyn and our Client is ideally looking for motor trade experienced Motorcycle Technicians however we may have opportunities for other experience levels such as NVQ level 1, 2 and 3 in light vehicle maintenance and repair.
