CMM Inspector Precision Engineering Glasgow
Talent Media is working in partnership with our client in the precision engineering industry to recruit a skilled CMM Inspector based at their Glasgow facility.
Location: Glasgow
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Shift Rotation:
Initially, the role is standard working hours, Monday to Friday
Once fully trained, the candidate will move onto a two or three-rotational shift pattern, which will be agreed with the line manager
Purpose of the Role:
You will be responsible for the efficient inspection and verification of precision-machined components, ensuring strict adherence to customer specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct first-off, interim, and batch inspections using various measurement tools
2. Operate CMM equipment with appropriate probes and attachments
3. Develop and document fixturing requirements per product
4. Produce clear inspection reports to meet customer and manufacturing needs
5. Analyse inspection reports and liaise with production on non-conforming or borderline features
6. Perform customer eyes visual inspections on final batches
7. Review and monitor CMM programs to optimise cycle times
