Offshore Wind Turbine Technician - Commissioning

We seek enthusiastic individuals aiming to progress into leadership roles, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced electrical systems on offshore wind turbines, focusing on both Low Voltage (LV) and High Voltage (HV).

Key Responsibilities:
1. Commissioning & Testing:
o Execute installation, routine maintenance, and repairs on LV and HV electrical systems, including converters, transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and related components.
o Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and specifications accurately.
o Adhere strictly to safety regulations and industry standards during all operations.
o Assist senior engineers in commissioning electrical systems and equipment.
o Conduct pre-commissioning tests and inspections to ensure systems are ready for operation.
o Document all commissioning activities comprehensively, providing detailed reports to the engineering team.
2. Troubleshooting:
o Diagnose and resolve electrical issues, including faults in LV and HV equipment.
o Use advanced testing tools to identify and fix electrical problems efficiently.
o Collaborate with engineering teams on complex technical challenges.
3. Health & Safety:
o Maintain compliance with all health and safety protocols.
o Perform risk assessments and implement control measures for electrical tasks.
o Supervise and mentor competent technicians, ensuring safe work practices and skill development.
o Participate in safety training and promote a safety culture within the team.
Qualifications:
* Required: Electrical or Wind technician apprenticeship, diploma, or degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; experience with LV and HV electrical systems.
* Preferred: Experience on wind farms or offshore industries; authorized person (AP) in MV or HV; high-voltage switching experience (11 kV and 33 kV); electrical certifications such as Certified Electrical Technician or High Voltage Safety Certification.
