The role of SOE is critical in providing victims of sexual assault with the dedicated support and care required.
We're looking for caring and compassionate RN's, Midwifes, RMN's or Paramedics to join us as Sexual Offence Examiners to provide holistic care and support to victims of sexual assault.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities will include:
* Performing forensic examinations and obtaining forensic exhibits.
* Developing forensic strategies in accordance with FFLM guidelines.
* Collaborating with external MDTs and Police.
* Serving as the first point of contact for victims, Police, and Social Services regarding referral pathways.
* Managing and promoting the self-referral pathway.
* Conducting holistic assessments, including sexual health, mental health, and safeguarding.
* Supporting ongoing quality improvement of the service.
* Working under the Forensic Science Regulator's requirements.
* Obtaining consent for health and forensic procedures.

Job details
Salary: £43,005.07 FTE based on 40 hours/week (for 32 hours/week)
Hours: Shifts between 9am-5pm, 5pm-1am, and 1am-9am, covering 24/7, 365 days/year, with on-call work from home during out-of-hours periods.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse, Midwife, or Paramedic
* Females only due to occupational requirements under the Sex Discrimination Act
* UK driving license and access to a vehicle required
* Enhanced DBS and police vetting necessary
Experience
* Minimum 3+ years relevant post-qualification experience
* Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality
* Experience working independently
