Project Manager – Mechanical & Electrical Services Location: Erith, London Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 per annum Contract: Permanent We are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join our distinguished client, overseeing projects across London and the South East. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical installations and construction, with proven ability to manage projects safely, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare site-specific health and safety documentation, risk assessments, and method statements.
2. Review and distribute safety certification and ensure compliance.
3. Procure plant, materials, and accessories, negotiating costs to secure competitive pricing.
4. Oversee installation works in line with client drawings and instructions.
5. Manage testing of installed services and forward certification/documentation as required.
6. Control project costs and monitor budgets.
7. Liaise with line managers to discuss progress and resolve issues.
8. Deliver projects on time, within scope, and to budget.
9. Keep up to date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
10. Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
11. Undertake any additional duties relevant to the role.
What We’re Looking For:
12. Proven experience in mechanical installations (pipework, steelworks, tank building, chillers, boilers, pharmaceutical sector).
13. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project cost control.
14. Familiarity with industry standards, terminology, and regulations.
15. Excellent numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
16. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
17. Effective communicator with the ability to build strong working relationships.
18. Positive, proactive, and solutions-driven approach.
19. Commitment to learning, development, and continuous improvement.
