The Role
This is a ‘worker' status role. As such, all payments will be processed through payroll and will be subject to statutory deductions including income tax, National Insurance, and optional pension contributions where applicable.

We’re looking for partners who can offer their skills and knowledge for several days throughout the year to support our fitness to practise function.
We are looking for qualified social workers to drive forward our ambition as the specialist regulator for social workers. We will hold the register for social workers in England. As registration advisers you will analyse the content of overseas courses, experience, and qualifications to assess equivalency with UK qualifications.
Please note to be eligible for this role you must be currently practising and registered with Social Work England without restriction or any adverse fitness to practise history
What you will do
* Assess and make recommendations on applicants’ qualification equivalency
* Assess and make recommendations on applicants’ equivalent experience
* Supervise tests of competence, to assess whether an applicant has the skills and knowledge to be eligible to join the Social Work England register
Your Skills, Knowledge And Experience
* Substantial relevant experience, and currently practising and registered with Social Work England without restriction or any adverse fitness to practise history
* Current social work practice (including academics working in education)
* Familiarity with the content of UK social work courses and qualifications
* Ability to analyse the content of overseas courses, experience, and qualifications to assess equivalency with UK qualifications, considering a wide range of factors to make informed decisions
* Experience of managing sensitive information effectively and maintaining confidentiality
* The ability to establish credibility and maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally
* The ability to work within policies and procedures with integrity and sound judgement, as well as clear commitment to the Nolan Principles for public life
* Excellent drafting skills with the ability to write effectively, accurately, concisely, factually and in plain English for a range of audiences
* Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with a wide range of stakeholders and influence at a senior level
* Ability to work in an organised and efficient manner, handling a busy and varied workload and delivering against personal and team objectives
* A proven role model for respectful, open, and honest behaviour including a demonstrable commitment to inclusion and diversity
* Previous experience of undertaking similar work is desirable.
Details
* Job type:Partner contract - 5x positions available
* Working pattern: We estimate that an assessment will take between two and five hours to complete and that registration advisers will undertake approximately 5-10 assessments per month. You will also be required to attend annual training sessions.
* Salary: £84 per assessment. You will be required to attend training and refresher training.
* Location: We are a national organisation and are keen to receive expressions of interest from candidates from all parts of the UK. You can complete assessments from any location.
