Speech and Language Therapy Lead - SEMH Pathway
This is an exciting new role to lead the SEMH pathway for Speech and Language Therapy services across Stockport. The role includes line management of Speech & Language Therapists, pathway management, project work, support of other speech and language team leads, as well as direct work within SEMH provisions.
* Take day-to-day responsibility for the leadership and operational management of a designated team of SaLTs and support staff.
* Develop and monitor the standard of service provision across your team through clinical governance requirements such as protocols, guidelines, clinical audits, and risk management policies.
* Contribute to business plans for the managed areas.
* Deputise for senior staff when appropriate.
* Facilitate in-service training, research, and audit activities within the team.
* Teach, develop, and educate team members to meet service needs.
* Provide highly specialised assessment, treatment, and management of patients referred to your team.
* Work as an autonomous practitioner using advanced skills and knowledge, determine clinical diagnoses and treatment for complex caseloads, and maintain records.
* Take responsibility for specific areas of expertise, leading within the department as agreed with the Children's Therapy Services Lead.
