* Reporting directly to the Group CEO of one of the UK's most recognised 3PLs
About Our Client
My client is a multi-billion turnover logistics provider with a strong brand presence in the sector. The company has experienced significant growth through acquisitions and organic customer expansion over recent years.
Key Responsibilities
Policy & Governance
* Review, draft, and implement compliance policies related to anti-trust, anti-bribery and corruption, gifts and entertainment, related-party transactions, and procurement integrity.
* Regularly review and enhance the Corporate Rules of Procedure.
* Develop and deliver a Code of Conduct for employees and subcontractors.
* Embed compliance clauses into contracts, supplier agreements, and procurement policies to mitigate risks.
* Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies and stay updated on regulatory developments.
* Develop risk management strategies, including risk registers, to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
Training & Awareness
* Design and execute compliance training programs, including in-person and computer-based training (CBT).
* Promote a culture of compliance through regular engagement with staff and management.
Business Partnering & Risk Advisory
* Act as a strategic compliance advisor to business leaders across divisions.
* Guide on addressing and mitigating compliance risks in operations.
* Assess current and future activities to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
Reporting & Monitoring
* Develop and maintain a Compliance Dashboard with KPIs to monitor effectiveness.
* Provide regular compliance reports to Group Management and the Advisory Board.
* Lead audits and reviews, implementing corrective actions as needed.
* Manage incident escalation and reporting processes.
Whistleblowing & Investigations
* Manage the Group's whistleblowing system and process.
* Investigate compliance breaches and implement corrective actions.
* Ensure protection for whistleblowers in line with legal standards.
The Successful Candidate
* Graduate calibre, preferably with a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
* Experience in legal, secretarial, regulatory, or ESG compliance roles.
* At least 5 years in senior management within group or multinational environments.
* Strong commercial acumen.
* Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Familiarity with global compliance standards and regulations.
* Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences, and influencing senior leadership.
* Proven track record in fostering a compliant corporate culture.
