Overview
We are offering the rare opportunity for an experienced Bid Advisor to join our established team and contribute to ongoing growth and development. You will be responsible for producing tenders across the firm, ensuring bid best practice and providing practical support on all aspects of the bid process. The role encompasses both managing the bid process and drafting the material, so skills in both areas are essential.
Responsibilities
* Project manage the bid process and utilise the firm's bid automated system, including a centralised knowledge base with over 10 years of bespoke bid content to draw upon to create and produce content.
* Support upgrading our bids system with an AI module and contribute to efficiently identifying existing content.
* Liaise confidently with internal stakeholders, advising and guiding them through both private and public sector bids process.
* Demonstrate strong writing, proofreading/editing skills and keen attention to detail; possess good IT knowledge and tender portal skills; apply proven project management and communications skills.
* Be a proactive self-starter motivated to contribute on a strategic and operational level; there is an opportunity to support the legal team through to the presentation stage with appropriate support from senior members of the Bid Team.
* Work across the entire range of sectors covered by the firm, producing business-winning tenders; interpret bid requirements, advise legal teams on approach, and prepare, coach and mentor them for presentations and pitches to clients.
* Support strategic projects and contribute to the continuous development of tender systems and bid best practice.
The person
Given this role, it is likely that your background and experience will include bids experience within a professional services environment.

* Commercial acumen: understanding of our business and clients / prospective targets businesses and their industries
* Ideally a marketing qualification from the Chartered Institute of Marketing
* Client focus and the development of relevant 'sales' messages
* Project management
* A proactive self-starter who is motivated to contribute on a strategic and operational level
* Ability to work under pressure whilst keeping your sense of humour
* Delegation and communication skills
* Research and analysis skills
