Your Role and Responsibilities
As a CAD Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in our MEICA team, producing accurate, high-quality 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models using REVIT, Civils 3D, and Navisworks for water and wastewater projects. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
* Interpreting instructions from Design Engineers and Engineering Technicians to prepare and modify MEICA layout drawings, GA's, schematics, and installation details.
* Translating equipment details into 3D models and producing working drawings, including P&I diagrams and pipework layouts.
* Creating civil interface drawings and ensuring spatial coordination.
* Liaising with Civil, Structural, Process, and Electrical Engineers to ensure design alignment.
* Supporting the compilation of design deliverables such as P&IDs and design packs.
* Ensuring compliance with quality and British standards.
* Working with supply chain partners to incorporate vendor information into models and drawings.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you have:
* ONC / HNC in mechanical or process engineering
* Working knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, ACC, or similar digital design tools
* An understanding of UK water company frameworks (e.g., AMP programmes) and standards like WIMES
