Job Description We have an exciting new opportunity to join the team as a Senior Group Overheads Controller. This role will act as the finance business partner with the Culina Group Executive team for management reporting, budgeting and forecasting for all Group overheads cost centres. This is a transformational finance role and the successful candidate will need to work with high level requirements and build clear plans to deliver significant change in how Group overheads are reported and shared with the business.
Key responsibilities of the Senior Group Overheads Controller:
Leads the Group Overheads function and ensures all reporting and planning deadlines are met
Transform the Group Overheads reporting to provide better transparency for all stakeholders
Define a plan to move Group Overhead budgets to be ahead of BU budget process which and eliminate the budget transfer process
Transform the Group Overheads cost allocation model to provide transparency of indirect and direct costs and develop a solution to report actual costs by function by BU on a monthly basis
Work with the Finance Transformation team to standardise BU and Group Overheads within the Enterprise structure across the entire business
Works with the Exec functional leads to produce budget and forecast packs
Ensures the integrity and accuracy of Group overheads costs and revenues. Supports their direct report and other indirect stakeholders to ensure data is accurate and timely.
Deliver all Group Reporting requirements on time with the required level of accuracy and consistency
Develop solution to be able to track IT costs in SAP at required level of detail
Qualifications Behaviours:
Strong and proactive communication with senior colleagues
Builds strong relationships and rapport with stakeholder groups by understanding the functional objectives, ways of working and different personalities
Strong influencing skills to ensure that deadlines and expectations are met with the expected result
Very well organised and able to manage many stakeholders, competing priorities and tight deadlines
Able to build own objectives and work plan based on high level brief. Works independently and manages expectations with all stakeholders and their manager
Able to present complex issues simply to senior stakeholders
Technical Skills ;
Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACMA) with 5 years PQE
Experience utilising data analysis skills, with a focus on continuous development, including training/transfer of such skills to junior members of the team
Strong presentation skills
Relevant Experience ;
Evidence of industry working with senior members of the Executive team.
SAP knowledge advantageous.
Strong knowledge in budgeting, forecasting and reporting through an annual cycle is essential
