Responsibilities
* Support the Health Visitor in completing developmental surveillance reviews for universal children.
* Deliver expert education, support and advice around UNICEF breastfeeding targets to antenatal and post‑natal women, including infant feeding choices.
* Work in a hybrid manner, completing records from home and delivering clinical work out in the community.
* Travel between venues as required; business expenses are paid.
* Work under the direction of the Health Visitor, managing workload and reporting or escalating concerns or anomalies promptly.
* Provide additional support to colleagues such as delivery of the National Child Measurement Programme annually.
Qualifications
* Extensive training in early years child development, breastfeeding support and safeguarding.
* Full UK driving licence and vehicle available for business use (reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals).
* Experience in completing developmental reviews and providing breastfeeding support.
Additional Requirements
The role requires a DBS check. Applicants will pay for the DBS application (£26.40 standard or £54.40 enhanced); this cost will be deducted from salary over the first 2 months. The DBS Update Service annual fee of £16 applies.
Full‑time positions are eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship under UK Government criteria. Part‑time roles do not meet the minimum salary threshold required for sponsorship.
