About The Team/Role
As part of the International Travel and Corporate Payments team, this role will work closely with the Director of Insights and Growth, as well as with other teams, including Commercial, Finance, and Product.
The Manager’s primary objective, as part of the Insights Centre of Excellence, is to deliver quantitative and qualitative insights that shape actions within WEX and inform the actions taken by WEX’s travel and corporate payments customers. Additionally, the Manager will be tasked with designing and delivering processes for delivering to teams market intelligence sourced from WEX’s proprietary data sets as well as external sources.
This role will have an important position in WEX’s International organization and will shape the actions of multiple teams and our customers.

How you'll make an impact
Insights leadership
Take a hands-on role in maximising value realised from data assets which serve the Travel and Corporate Payments business at present. This is best achieved by matching the insights delivered from the data to the needs of the Commercial, Finance, and Product organisations, as well as other teams as neededUpdate and maintain, or oversee the maintenance of key sources inputs into regular data refresh processesLeverage company tools and capabilities, focusing on Tableau suite of products such as Tableau Cloud, and improve existing methods for getting the right insights to the right WEX team members. This will include hands-on production of reports and dashboards, as well as the setup and proof of value from Tableau AI tools that are coming soonApply understanding of B2B payments to help maximise revenue to WEX via product optimisation across customer portfoliosDesign, deploy, and manage processes for compiling and disseminating to WEX teams general market intelligence including: competitor activity, customer insights, market trends (and impacts), regulator actions and announcements of intent, as well as general travel and corporate payments informationDevelop and maintain a record of WEX’s competitor landscape specifically in travel and corporate payments
Project based work
Maintain and enhance the existing Travel and Corporate Payments Data & Analytics capability ensuring resiliency, and alignment with Enterprise plansMaximise value delivered to internal and external stakeholdersImplement improvement initiatives and take part in general BI tasks
Teaming and Support
Support the line manager and other teams by working across a geographically diverse team and across several time zones (North America, Europe, Asia) when neededRole model knowledge building and sharing across the organisationBe proactive to achieve results in a matrix organisation with many points of contact across teamsHelp deliver ‘audience ready’ customer facing and internally facing C-suite suitable materials, such as customer QBR briefings, board of directors papers, and other deliverables
Experience you'll bring
A creative and flexible approach to problem solving, with excellent attention to detailDemonstrable financial acumen, including proficiency in Excel, navigating large data sets, and distilling complex data into actionable recommendationsCompetence with Tableau suite of tools, or something comparable, such as PowerBIExcellent communication skills and very high level of skill with PowerPoint and related tools (e.g. Google Sheets)Functional understanding of core on-scheme card payment concepts, including four-party model, and the roles of the various parties involvedUnderstanding of the travel market, including roles of travel intermediaries and travel suppliers, and the dynamics between the different players in the marketUnderstanding of general B2B payments challenges faced by different parties, especially within a travel payments context[Preferred] Functional understanding of virtual cards and their role in the B2B payments landscape
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or higher and a strong academic track recordExperience in the payments, financials services, technology and other related industries; preferably B2B[Preferred] Management Consulting Experience
