Location: Baston House School, Bromley, Kent BR2 7AB
Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8.Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Baston House School is seeking a dedicated and inspiring KS3 Nurture Teacher to join our team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher to make a real difference in the lives of pupils with autism and additional needs. You will help create an inclusive, supportive environment where every pupil can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team—including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, behaviour analysts, and pastoral staff—working together to remove barriers to learning and ensure every pupil feels valued and supported.
Promote pupil wellbeing, confidence, and emotional development alongside academic progress
Use a range of teaching strategies and assistive technologies to meet individual needs
Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress using school systems
Work closely with parents/carers and external professionals to provide holistic support
Participate in school life, including staff meetings, CPD, and school events
Maintain accurate records of behaviour, incidents, and pupil progress
Contribute to curriculum planning and policy development as required
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching pupils with autism or learning difficulties
Familiarity with EHCP processes and statutory reporting

Baston House is an independent day specialist provider of education and care for young people and adults aged 5 to 19 years who have been diagnosed with Autism (ASC).
