Were looking for an experienced and motivated Area Manager (Gas and Electric) to lead the delivery of a high-qualityrepairs and refurbishment service, ensuring our customers live in safe, compliant and well-maintained homes. Youll play a key role in driving excellence, value for money and strong customer outcomes across our Gas and Electric service. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring effective work planning, performance and attendance. Oversee safe and compliant delivery of gas and electrical repairs and maintenance, meeting building regulations and Health & Safety requirements. Manage complex or large contracts for building works, ensuring value for money, customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance. Monitor and report on performance, analysing operational and financial data to identify trends and address issues. Work collaboratively with colleagues, sub-contractors and external partners to meet service and financial targets. Respond to customer complaints and enquiries professionally and effectively. Maintain accurate, auditable records including financial monitors, handover documents and O&M information. Promote equality, diversity and inclusion in all interactions and decision-making. Ensure all Health & Safety concerns are reported promptly and support organisational learning. What youll need to succeed Specialist qualifications in either Gas or Electrics: Gas: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent plus valid ACS (CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1, DAH1). Electrical: City & Guilds 2382-18 (18th Edition) and NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, plus 2391 (or willingness to work towards it). A full, valid driving licence. Proven line management experience with the ability to lead, motivate and support others. Up-to-date knowledge of legislation, building regulations, CDM and Health & Safety requirements. Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues and partners. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively and work under pressure. Business awareness and the ability to demonstrate value for money in service delivery. Confident digital skills, including use of mobile devices, Microsoft Teams, Outlook and other organisational systems.
