About The Role:
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, hours between 6:30 am and 8:30 pm.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Electrical Engineer to join our team on a key contract in Manchester.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, inspect, and perform repairs or preventative maintenance, responding promptly to breakdowns.
* Execute reactive and planned services in a retail environment.
* Possess trade skills or previous experience in a similar role.
* Conduct statutory inspections of assets, including emergency lighting, water temperature checks, fire door inspections and repairs, plumbing repairs, lighting checks, and minor reactive works.
* Represent the company professionally, handling customer complaints and queries.
* Support engineer subcontractors during site visits.
* Provide technical guidance to clients and support the contract team.
* Perform minor building fabric repairs.
* Ensure all work complies with specifications and health & safety legislation.
* Maintain accurate site documentation.
Candidate Requirements:
* Legal right to work in the UK.
* City & Guilds qualification in electrical discipline (18th Edition) preferred.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other IT tools.
* NVQ Level 2 or higher in a building discipline.
* Experience in a similar role, including basic plumbing, carpentry, redecoration, and statutory ppm inspections, with good health & safety awareness.
* Understanding of planned preventative maintenance regimes.
* Experience with risk assessments, method statements, and permit to work procedures.
* Experience using BMS systems.
* Knowledge of maintenance schedules and SFG 20 is desirable.
* Accurate record-keeping skills, both on worksheets and digital systems.
* Full UK driving license, as a company vehicle may be used.
