Job Description
Duties and tasks of the Senior Accounts Payable Clerk:
3. Collating invoices from multisite locations
4. Processing invoices, nominal coding and match to delivery notes
5. Reconciliation of supplier statements
6. Preparation and processing of payment runs
7. Assisting with month end preparation and running reports
8. Assisting with sales ledger invoicing and expenses
9. Cash, credit card and direct debit reconciliations
10. Oversee compliance with internal financial controls and external regulatory requirements
11. Collaborate with other departments to resolve payment-related queries and discrepancies
12. Provide training and support to team members to foster professional growth and development
13. Ensure accurate maintenance of financial records and documentation
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Accounts Payable Clerk should have:
14. Proven experience in accounts payable within accounting and finance
15. Strong knowledge of financial controls and regulatory compliance
16. Excellent organisational skills to support junior team members
17. Proficiency in financial software and systems
18. The ability to identify and resolve escalated queries
19. Exceptional communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
